How is planning perceived and why is it misunderstood? In speaking to Simon Wicks, Deputy Editor of The Planner, think we have to admit we're not always helping ourselves. So caught up in the detail, we're not delivering the "big, sweeping" message that hits home the essential value of our profession. Maybe Simon's right, maybe that's not our job, but we do have to work on our day-to-day communication, using story-telling to compel our audiences.
